Trying To Be Nice, The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I decided to read “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner because of a list. You know the lists I’m talking about. The lists like “What to Read Now.” I believe the list I got it from was “The 15 books to read after “The Hunger Games”” list. I believe it is the same list I found “Divergent” and “Insurgent” on. So needless to say I was really hoping this was the same caliber of book. It was NOT! I am so dismayed that this is a popular series. There is absolutely no character development and the plot is incomplete. I detest that in a book. I hate feeling that a book cannot be a stand alone novel. Now, even though I did not like the book, I feel I need to read the rest of the series. I have no interest in the characters or the setting, but some of the questions I need answered. So, if you like open ended plots and shallow characters this is for you. If you need a well written tale with enough description to draw you into the world of the book and characters you feel have sustenance, you probably will dislike these books.
